Here are Rosemary and Olive on their first day of freedom on Claret Farm. After a week of being "cooped up" to help them adjust to their new home, they're now free ranging with their three feathered friends: Nightingale, Hard Chocolate, and Silver Star. Some quick observations from a brand-new chicken keeper--they really do stay with their flock, and they prefer the sandy, shorter grass covered areas. Makes sense! After 30 minutes chasing them around their coop to carry them to the pasture where they are ranging today, I'm looking much more favorably at the movable coops. :)
What is better than the sight of a hot air balloon? The sight of FOUR hot air balloons sailing over house and fields! OK--couldn't get all four in the photo--but this gives you the idea. So pretty!! Maybe someday you or I will sail over Claret Farm and get a shot from the sky?
Thanks in good measure to the intercession of our patron, St. Anthony Claret, we have reached that awesome day, Moving In Day! It's the crack of dawn here in Stillwater and kiddos are still sleeping but mama and dad are 'up and at em' as we prepare to move 15+ years of accumulated life to our new place to rest our heads--Claret Farm. The adventure begins!
THANKS TO: Gram & Pups, Opa & Oma, Brad, Tom, Matt, Andrew, Dave & family, Mark and family, Don & family, Joe & family!! We could NOT have done it without you all! Praise God for you!
